This project will allow to improve the supply guarantee in the island's electrical system, the security of the system and the integration of renewable energies. This Soria-Chira reversible hydroelectric plant with 200 MB of power is an essential infrastructure to advance towards the sustainability of the new Canarian energy model. The project includes the construction of a seawater desalination plant and associated marine works, as well as as the connection of the plant with the Santa Fe substation through an electrical line of 220 kilovolts and 20 kilowatts in length.

The final version of the Bar District's Integral and Sustainable Development Plan has been presented. 2040 in four ministries in the City of Panama, in the City Hall of the Bar, a large representation of associative entities and CECOMRO. This presentation culminates a long process in which multiple analyzes of relevant issues have been addressed for the management and for the territorial development potential.

Social, economic, political and administrative agents of the West Region and the Bar District have participated in the Workshops. In total, 59 people have contributed their knowledge, experience and points of view, enriching the process and making the content of the Plan and its commitments their own.
